President of The Board of Directors
Mike grew up near Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of Clear Creek High School and Texas A&M University. While in college, he began to experience a strong call to missions, to reach with the gospel those who have never heard. He later earned an MDIV from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with an emphasis in missions. In 1998, he joined E3 Partners, then Global Missions Fellowship, as a church planter. Since that time he has led church planting campaigns in Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Brazil, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi, Burundi, and Rwanda. In 2007 he became involved with Training Centers for Church Planters (TCCP) and has helped start hundreds of TCCP schools in many countries throughout the world. He is currently the East Africa Director for TCCP. His passion is to reach as many people as possible with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to help start evangelical churches in every neighborhood, in every city, in every country throughout the world. Mike believes the most effective way to fulfill the Great Commission is to train leaders to have the heart of Jesus to preach the gospel to all creation throughout the earth and to establish His church in every place. He believes that the heart of the Lord is to reach all people of every tongue, tribe and nation with the gospel and to launch church planting movements all over the world.
Mike currently lives with his wife Darla in Duncanville, TX. They have three grown children: Kendra, Lauren and Michael, and three grandchildren: Camila, Cason and Travis. Mike is an elder at Grace Church of Ovilla.
